Virtual Alumni Interaction 2020

Department of Computer Science & Engineering, H.K.E Society’s S.L.N. College of Engineering organized virtual alumni interaction with the students on Dec 6, 2020.
The session was started at 6 pm by a welcome note by Prof. Sumangala Itagi, HOD of CSE department to the virtual gathering. The event was attended by staff and students of CSE department. We had total of 70 participations. Later it was taken over by alumni. This meet went till 9.15pm.
Objectives:
The main objective of this event was to fill the gap between curriculum and industry demand. Alumni from the batch of 2000 CSE who are settled in different parts of the world almost from three different continents shared their experience in different area of expertise.
Our students were advised wisely by distinguished alumni’s to work more on basic programming languages such as C, C++, Data structures etc. as they become prerequisite for many programming languages. Through their experiences of work over years, they guided students to get themselves certified with online courses as they add more weightage to their resume. They strongly addressed the students even to think about entrepreneurship for self-employment. Finally they showed interest to guide the students for their final year academic project based on their field of expertise.
